Come meet Nena, a 3-4 year old mixed breed who weighs about 50 pounds. Despite losing a leg in a car accident, Nena’s spirit remains unbreakable. Her zest for life and infectious joy shines through in everything she does. Nena was rescued by Rocket Dog earlier this year and with the love and care of our devoted volunteers and medical staff, Nena’s recovery has been remarkable. She has quickly adapted to her new life on three legs, demonstrating her incredible strength and resilience. She joyfully bounds out of her kennel to greet people and pooches alike and make new friends. She is dog friendly, good on a leash and potty trained. She loves to cuddle and lean against her human friends and greets every whistle and noise with the familiar head tilt. She chases after balls and toys with a pup like energy and when she is tired lays down on her back ready for belly rubs. Nena is ready for the next phase of her life to find her forever home.
