Who ordered the cuteness with a side of cuteness topped with extra cuteness? We did, apparently. Sage, a winsome little chi chi, is itty, bitty, witty and wise. She’s got short legs and polka dot eyebrows, a gentle demeanor and some serious hops. Life hasn’t been so easy, but Sage appears to believe in miracles, ready to leap (literally and figuratively) into the next chapter with an open mind. Adopt her for unconditional love and the healing properties of divine cuteness. We’re feeling better already. Here’s some notes from her foster:When I first met Sage she was really shy and seemed overwhelmed being in a new environment but she opened up so fast. Watching her get comfortable was the sweetest thing! Sage is such a gentle, sweet, and affectionate little chi. She may seem very shy and kept to herself at first, but she really has so much energy and love to give!It took ten minutes before we were best friends. She loves to be vocal and snuggle on you when she wants attention and will give you the cutest head nudges on your hand or will pet YOU! Her excitement to go on walks is everything! The moment we left HQ she showed so much enthusiasm and curiosity on the walk and in the car insisted on sitting on my lap before I drove. Sage was nonreactive to people walking, cars, or other dogs and was trotting so fast like she was on a little mission! She loves exploring and sniffing everything and wow can she JUMP! Her mobility and agility is crazy for such a little lady at her fine age.Sage immediately explored my house and already found her favorite snuggle spots on pillows and under blankets, she likes to burrow under them to get comfy. We haven’t yet found her favorite treat or toy but she seems a lot more interested in her people instead!During our park day at Golden Gate Park, Sage was ready to greet every person politely that wanted to pet her by approaching them with gentle sniffs. And we definitely underestimated the power in her little legs because she is a rocket! In a different life she was definitely in a run club, I think I might take up jogging together. She tackles stairs like she was born for it and can definitely run up them faster than me! Sage gets absolutely excited when she sees her harness and leash to know it’s w-a-l-k time. Sage also loves being pampered with attention and definitely would do great as a single dog or at least have an opportunity to meet her potential new sibling to get a vibe. Sage is non treat reactive (unless the “treat” is part of your dinner) and knows the commands to come/follow. She has had no accidents and when left in a room alone she will stay in the same spot and chill. so cute!It is easy to tell that she has come from a home(s) where she’s been loved before and a bond with this pup is sure to be special.
