My name is Blossom, I’m approximately 6 months old, I weigh about 50 lbs., and they’re quite certain I’m Rottweiler! I’ve heard them say that I was sadly not provided with proper nutrition before Rocket Dog rescued me, and I arrived very underweight and malnourished. I have a good appetite and I’m working on gaining some weight but, because I didn’t have enough food in my past, I tend to get very excited and gobble my food too quickly, so they gave me a slow feeder. They estimate my adult weight to be about 80 lbs. (but no guarantees)!
A couple of the wonderful volunteers took me for a walk after I started feeling better, and they said I did great! A man at the bus stop admired me and I put my head on his lap to say hello. We also passed lots of barking dogs and they said I wasn’t fazed — but I did want all the soccer balls when we walked through the park. They play fetch with me at the sanctuary, but I haven’t quite grasped the concept of giving the ball back. I get lots of attention from the volunteers who say I am a sweet, good girl and I need lots of exercise. Now that I’m feeling better, I have more energy, but I still need to add some pounds.
If you’re an experienced dog owner and have the time and patience to teach me how to be a success in this world (as I still have lots of puppy energy), please apply for me today and a volunteer will be in touch. (HD)
Walking on lead!
