Are you looking for a pooch who is bilingual, extremely huggable, and can really shake his tail feathers? Let us introduce you to Andres Brender! Not only is he intelligent and good looking, but he also has a good snoot on his shoulders. Looking for a nose to boop? You’re in the right place. Andres will let you boop that nose all day long! His tail rarely stops wagging and depending on the daily weather report, you might catch his ears up or down. It all depends on the humidity. Grab your sunscreen and surfboard and get ready to ride some sweet waves with Andres. He’s a kick in pants! Here’s some notes from his foster:Andres is the perfect work from home buddy and just likes to sit by his hooman and wants someone to rub his tummy, pet his face, and tell him he’s a good boy! At home, he just likes to nap all day next to me as I work. He’s quiet 98% of the time. The only time I heard him bark was when the UPS truck pulled up. Around people, he is very polite and likes to get pets and hellos from everyone. He is very social around people and wags his dachshund tail back & forth like a metronome. He loves his people, and loves new people even more!On our walks, he does pretty well. We do 2-5 blocks when time permits, so the distance is ok, but since he has little dachshund legs, he takes little steps. So it might take a little longer than most dogs to complete his walks. He has no leash reaction, which is great! When we meet other dogs on our walks, he usually wags his tail and does his sniffs. Even if the other dog doesn’t like him, he doesn’t take it personally and walks away. I did take him to a local dog park and he ultimately just wanted to sit next to me and watch the other dogs. We also went to a local night market in the Outer Richmond and he just seemed so happy to be around lots of people, dogs, and commotion! The best thing about Andres is that once he feels comfortable with you and the house, he is a sweet boy. It took me about 2 days for him to come out of his shell and he just wants to be adored and get his belly rubs and pets whenever possible. He just loves to be around his humans and get all the love he can.He does the cutest stretch when we start our day or walk. He loves sleeping on pillows or anything soft. When he sleeps he makes little dream noises and smiles. He is potty trained. I haven’t had any accidents in the house. Ideally he needs 2 to 3 walks per day. He’s just a REALLY GOOD BOY!!
