Hello everyone, my name is Rocky! I'm a 4 and a half year old, 87 lbs., neutered male Pitbull/Staffordshire Terrier mix. I'm a happy, energetic boy who enjoys running zoomies in the yard. I'm the best of both worlds and know how to chill and hang out with my favorite person while we watch the world go by. I am working on my manners and will need my new family's help to become a perfect pup. I would do best with kids 6+ and would love to meet the whole family and of course any resident dog before going home. I got to spend some time away from the shelter recently and this is what my foster family had to stay about me: "Rocky is a loving cuddle bug. He loves to spend time lounging and snuggling and is very sweet and playful. He is a very gentle respectful dog, he listens when told “no” and can be redirected to a toy easily if he picks up something. He’s a great companion who wants to stay by your side. He’s easy to love and wants to please. We found it easy to get his energy out with 2-3 walks a day. He is perfect for a homebody who can give him the love and cuddles he so much deserves! He is also fully potty trained, a major plus! Overall, he is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve met." I recently went on a hike with my favorite volunteer. This is what they had to say about our day together: "I took Rocky on the hike today.  He had a great time in the yard and loves fetching. He was great in the car. He really enjoyed himself on the hike. No issues with dogs. He did pull quite a bit. He was so happy to be out and about! You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
