Who’s that lady? That real fine lady? It’s Luanne, a compact little chi whose cuteness, heightened by the shortest front legs in all the land, is almost intimidating. Don’t worry. She’s not a look-but-don’t-touch lady. She’s a velvety fairy godmother who moves among dogs and people with an air of independence and kind deliberation. She likes a comfy bed, a moment to gather her thoughts, and all the tenderness you can muster for an elderly queen of hearts. Your payoff? Loving gratitude in spades. Here’s some notes from her foster:Do you want to win Luanne over? Get some fish in hand her favorite treat smother her with kisses and she’ll be your best friend in no time.Luanne is a gentle soul and she’s settled in quite well. She sleeps through the night on her bed and takes plenty of naps throughout the day to recharge. If you need a snuggle buddy, just pick her up and she’ll be happy to snuggle next to you. While she’s still learning to go potty on walks, she’s mastering the pee pads at home. Her favorite place to go potty was a garden where I used to live. She knew what to do right away and it’s the perfect place to get her steps in.While she’s a slow walker, she still enjoys going on short walks one block is more than plenty and sniffing things along the way. The street noises don’t seem to bother her and when you decide to carry her, she will happily fall asleep in your arms, like the princess she deserves to be. Need to put her in a carrier? she’ll be happy there too.Sometimes she likes to sleep in so you might need to remind her that it’s time for breakfast and her meds. She’s a pro at spitting little pills out, so keep an eye on her to make sure she swallows them! While she enjoys being smothered, she will let you know when it is time to set her free, because she’s an independent gal after all. Once you become best friends, she will keep an eye on you and will follow you around, especially when there is food around. That’s when the tail wags start to happen:)
