Lady is a 2-year-old, 55 pound girl who is looking for someone who can give her the time and patience to trust. She’s been through a lot in her short life and before being transported from Afghanistan, spent the majority of her time with dogs. Because of her “pack life”, she is much more comfortable with dogs, not so much with humans. Our amazing volunteers are slowly teaching her that humans can be part of her pack, as well. Lady, like all of our recent Afghanistan transports, has never been on a leash, so please be mindful of that. (Our volunteers are getting her used to that, though.) A household with a resident confident dog will be tantamount to a successful adoption for Lady. Volunteers report that she happily follows other dogs around during playtime. (See video blow.) Her people will also be patient and give her the space and time she needs. In Lady’s case, we feel a yard will be best, as well. Is she your new household member? Fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/IMG_4237.mp4 Lady learning that playtime is fun!
