Sometimes pure sweetness is shaped like a small, wiry haired terrier mix named Destiny. What a delight this 13 lb little lady is! She is reportedly six months old but may be closer to a year, which means she may weigh up to 20 pounds or so. Her most favorite thing in the whole world is you followed by sleeping and playing with other small dog friends. Don’t let her shy act fool you, as soon as she’s had a bit of time to get comfortable her confidence comes out. She might take a while to open up to the wider world, but she’ll follow her humans wherever they go. She loves pets, cuddles, lap time and being in close proximity to her pack. Recently, one of our volunteers took her to a restaurant and reported, “We took Destiny to Degrees Plato and she is shy but friendly with new people and a little bit spicy with dogs when on leash if they come into her space but nothing too intense. Very quiet and mellow while we had dinner.” Destiny is mostly housebroken, crate trained and getting better on leash every day. She will need a committed adopter who will focus on continued (and additional) training and socialization to boost her confidence, once she’s established in her forever home. She is extremely friendly and likely to bond with humans of any age or size. If you can give Destiny what she needs throughout every stage of her life, fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. (LT) Watch Destiny!
