Meet Dodger! This boy is about six months old and seems to be a Rottweiler, so he’s really just a huge puppy. His favorite pastimes include bouncing off walls and collecting all of the balls in our yard to keep for himself. Unfortunately, Dodger was not provided with adequate nutrition for most of his life and came to us underweight and malnourished. He is currently about 50 lbs and still has some weight to gain to become his healthiest self. (We estimate his adult weight to be 80+ pounds, with no guarantees.) As a result of his experience with starvation, he does have some nervousness and reactivity around food, so an adult/older child dog-savvy home would be best. Dodger also has some catching up to do in terms of socialization and obedience training, but he’s young, energetic, and ready to learn!
