Meet Willow Momma - a 2 year old, approximately 43 pound, Black Lab mix gal from Tennessee. Willow was left behind when her owners moved out. The landowners found her and took her home and within a week or so she gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies!

UPDATE from her Northern foster: Willow is so affectionate and such a happy girl. She is a great size at around 43 pounds, and is so sweet and gentle with our kids. She has done great in the car and is housebroken. We love her so much and know she will make a great family dog!

Her puppies already came north and went home - but she tested positive for heartworm so she had to stay behind for treatment. She now has a clean bill of health and is ready to find her forever family who will spoil her like she deserves.

Like most momma dogs this gal is so affectionate and grateful for human attention. She loves all people! She is great on a leash and does well going for walks, as you can see in the video.

This girl is a great listener and just an all around wonderful dog. She deserves the very best!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
