Her name perfectly describes her!

Meet Sweetie - a 14 week old, Lab mix, who weighs 17 pounds (as of 1/24/25). She was found as a roadside stray in a rural area, and is looking for a forever family to call her own! She was dumped by a careless human and was hiding in a hole along a creek bank when her rescuers found her. She was scared of us, but once she realized we were there to help her (and not harm her), we were able to rescue her and pull her to safety. She's happy and healthy and greeted us with lots of tail wags and kisses - her way of saying "thank you!"

Her foster shares: "Her name describes her perfectly - she is a super sweet girl that would make a great addition to any family who has the time and patience to
teach her manners and show her what it means to be loved! She loves being the center of attention and will whine if you walk by without petting her. This girl whines begging for attention anytime someone walks by her like she can never seem to get enough love. She is currently in foster care with another pup and is doing great. We know she will be able to adapt to her forever home and can't wait to meet the lucky person or family who she will be able to call her own!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
