This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Banks - a 1.5 year old, Dogo Argentina / Bulldog mix, who weighs 45 pounds (as of 11/27/24).

His foster shares: "Banks is a very handsome and happy-go-lucky boy! He is an active dog who would love an active family to spend his days with. He has an outgoing and super friendly personality. It's impossible to be sad with Banks by your side. Just look at his pics - this boy is always smiling! Banks loves people, and makes friends everywhere he goes, especially when there are kids around. He also gets along great with other dogs, whether it's exploring the outdoors playing with them or going on sniff-aris. Banks is great when he rides in a car and will be your co-pilot any day of the week - and yes, he does love his pups cups! Banks walks well on a leash, is crate trained and housebroken. He is such a handsome boy with his little black spots and adorable ears! He will make the perfect addition to your family!"

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
