Meet Harley Mae - a Belgian Malinois mix gal who is 6 month olds and 40 pounds as of 2/5/25.
Her foster mom shares "Harley Mae is a very smart girl and has high potential with someone who is willing to give her the time and training this breed needs. She is so beautiful and sweet! And this girl LOVES cuddling. She is great with dogs and with kids! She loves going on hikes (and is great in the car) and then coming home to a good nap afterwards! She will happily sleep at your feet in the bed if you let her. She loves playing with tennis balls and stuffed animals or any chew toy or bone. She loves kids so much and is very gentle and kind with them. She can get excited to meet new people and does sometimes jump up - but it is just to show love and we are working on that. She is doing well with other commands including sit and lay so we know she will learn to keep four on the floor very quickly too. She is also learning all her leash manners and trying to love her crate. She really would love a family who is home a lot as she prefers not to be alone (thus the not quite loving her crate yet). This girl is really wonderful - and we didn't even touch on her absolutely stunning looks yet as you can see. She is a real gem!"

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
