This cute pup will surely flip and swing his way into your heart! He is always down for some monkey business and cuddles!

Meet Monkey Banana - a ~6 1/2 month old, Black Lab / Husky mix, who weighs 43 pounds (as of 2/7/25). This sweet boy was born on 7/23/24 and was unfortunately surrendered to us by a previous loving home who could no longer care for him.

UPDATE from his Northern foster: Monkey is the cuddler of the two pups in the Banana litter. He loves everybody he meets. He is great with other dogs but sometimes benefits from a slower introduction. He is food motivated so he should easy to train. Monkey is decent on the leash but still has a few of the finer points to pick up. He is still a puppy but with some consistency and training he will be a great dog for one lucky family.

His foster shares: "Monkey Banana is a sweet and active puppy who loves humans and other dogs! He loves playing with everyone he meets and makes friends everywhere he goes. Monkey Banana is goofy and oh-so-sweet. His favorite thing is getting his belly rubbed. He's currently living with children and he is so great with them. He will need a family who is committed to continuing his training so he can learn basic commands. He is doing well with his housebreaking and thrives when he is kept on a schedule. Monkey Banana is sure to swing his way into your hearts and will make a loving and loyal companion!"

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
