Meet Keely - an 11 month old, American Eskimo / Spitz mix, who weighs 33 pounds (as of 4/20/25). Keely was found as a stray with her sister, who had been living on their own and trying to survive as best as they could. We're lucky we found her when we did and were able to bring her to safety. She is happy, healthy and ready to find a forever family to call her own!

UPDATE from her Southern Foster: She is doing fabulous in our home. Walks great on a leash, housebroken and her shyness has disappeared in our home.

Her foster shares: "Keely is a silky & soft American Eskimo Dog / Spitz mix. She's a petite girl who can easily fit in your lap. Keely is a little shy at first but quickly warms up to new friends and will be your BFF. Keely loves having other dogs around and would do best in a home with a resident dog to continue to build her confidence (not a requirement). She LOVES being around kids, and will need a family who can continue to work with her on training and keeping her on a schedule. Keely is smart, loving, gentle natured and learns quickly. She is doing great in her foster home as she is learning to trust, to love and be loved. Keely is learning about the good things in life - snuggles, treats, warm beds and lots of attention! She can't wait to find her family!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Keely, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
