Talk about a dog who has felt the abundance of love while she has stayed with us: outings for swimming, coffee runs and overnight slumber parties with fabulous foster parents. Kids are amazing. Other dogs are too. An easy-going friend close to her size. Cats may not be in the mix because we do like to chase them. I am Alexia, the founder of YourDoggyMatch. You might ask what inspired me to create this website? On a family vacation abroad, I witnessed mass animal suffering that haunted my thoughts: sunken eyes, emaciated frames, meekly wagging tails. After traveling back home to the Bay Area, I realized that hundreds of dogs in my own community needed desperate help to find homes.
