Hi there! My name is Tippy and I'm a spayed, 1-year-old, Pit Bull/Alaskan Husky mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. I'm a high energy girl that's ready for adventure! Doesn't matter if it's a hike or a long game of fetch, I love to go, go, go! I'm hoping for a new family that has experience guiding playful girls like me through training. If there are children in the home, I prefer kids that are 10+ since I'm still working on my manners and impulse control. I have a boisterous playstyle, and I love to wrestle so I'd like to meet any resident dogs before I officially join the family to make sure we'll be a good match. I recently went on a hike with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did:
I took Tippy on the hike today. We had a great time and enjoyed the lovely weather. Tippy was well behaved in the car. Once we arrived at our destination, she was very excited to see other dogs and a new environment. At the start of the hike, she pulled quite a bit on the leash but eventually settled into a good stride. She had no issues with bikes, joggers, strollers, walkers and other dogs - we were able to pass with no problem. She really enjoyed getting her paws wet when we went to the beach. I think she would have enjoyed going for a swim if I had a longer leash. When we returned, she went straight to her bed for a bit of a nap. We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
