Meet our little lady, Ashley Script, a distinguished 8-year-old silver chihuahua with eyes that could melt the coldest heart. That soulful “come hither” gaze hints at a lifetime of wisdom and gentle charm. Bringing her own special brand of small dog energy, Ashley Script brings calm and grace wherever she goes, while still being a social butterfly who gets along swimmingly with her canine companions. She favors gentle cuddles and quiet companionship over rowdy play, which makes her the perfect lap dog and companion for your tranquil home! Here’s some notes from her foster:Ashley is a tough little lady who knows what she wants and knows she deserves the best. She played Goldilocks as soon as she walked in the door, trying every couch and cushion looking for maximum comfort. She settled on my partner’s pillows. Lol.She is very loving but you must earn her trust. Go slow with her in the beginning. She doesn’t love being picked up constantly and she will let you know if now ain’t the time. It’s best to let her settle in and get to know you!She likes short walks and sometimes no walk at all. Mornings are a quick pee and then back to bed ! She’s fine in the car and will explore a new place with you. Has no problem with stairs. As for other dogs, she’s calmed down a bit now that’s gotten used to us and her surroundings. Big dogs who run up to her are greeted with growls and barks. Little dogs who are mild-mannered allow her to be a bit more bold and do some sniffing. Uncertain how she is with cats or children at this moment. It didn’t take long for her to get comfortable with us and her temporary home. And it didn’t take long for her to ask to sleep on the bed with us. Lol. She likes to burrow or be wrapped up completely under the covers. She is potty trained. She waits to go outside and will use the pee pads if she can’t hold it. I’ve actually been quite pleased with her refusal to use our rugs as pee pads. She’s a lady, after all. She is so loving and doing great in my home! She gets along well with my dog, Lilikoi. At night she loves to sleep under the sheets or a blanket. When she is happy she will roll around on her back on various household rugs. Walks are exciting and she can walk quite fast! She doesn’t beg and no evidence of resource guarding.
