Jinkies!! These pups are named after the Scooby Doo crew and they are ready to help you solve any MYSTERY!

Meet Velma Mystery - a 16 week old, Husky mix, who weighs approximately 8 pounds (as of 3/24/25).

Her new northern foster mom shares "Velma is VERY cuddly. She's getting along well with our dogs and she has met the cats and she was fantastic with them too.

She's great on a leash. On a 2.5 mile walk today she walked most of the distance. We only had to carry her periodically and she did want to get back down pretty quickly. She's doing really well with pee pads and she was able to sleep during the night, only getting up once to go out. She did great going into the crate and wasn't upset at all about being in there.

Velma is eating well. She loves carrots and blueberries, so we've been giving her those as snacks and treats. She is very food motivated. We're working on sits and she is getting there quickly - she is a smart gal!

She does seem to be pretty confident. She struts around the house like she owns it. lol. She's been very comfortable with the neighbors and with other dogs when we're out walking.

She will want a family committed to training like any dog (especially a smart one) really needs. She is going to be a wonderful companion!!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
