Just arrived at Muttville, you are cordially invited to meet this lovely, demure, gentle Beagle lady, Expo. (16 lbs). We learned from her C.V. that she spent several of her 7 years of life, managing expos throughout the Western United States, gaining considerable expertise as a promoter of business products and platforms. While she always enjoyed her management role, at this stage in her life, she is ready to leave the business world behind and become more well-acquainted with the slightly unfamiliar experience of a harness and leash for her moderate exercise. Not one to immediately welcome snuggles and cuddles, like many highly intelligent and sharp pups, Expo may ask you for an extra dose of patience and gentle handling when first getting to know her. As we’ve been getting to know her, we can say, while she is initially a bit shy, she is exceedingly sweet, and will thrive with the right person or family. She is bound to add that extra “something” to your life! And who knows? Maybe you’ll get some good business advice from her as well! Here’s some notes from her foster:Expo was so scared to be in a new home with new people at first, but she’s gradually relaxing and even starting to enjoy herself! She now comes to us for attention and love. She’s also starting to show a playful energetic side, with zoomies in the house and around our yard and unrequited attempts to get our senior dog to play. She is respectful of his decision not to play, and will instead settle for crawling into his bed to nap with him. She’s very curious and loves exploring every square inch of our house and yard, thoroughly sniff every intriguing smell. The world beyond our yard is still a bit overwhelming for her, but I think she’ll eventually love going on walks given her energy level, curiosity and love of new smells. She can easily manage our stairs, seems to be house trained and sleeps through the night in her dog bed. She also is respectful (and a bit scared) of our cat. She does get a little sad when either one of us leaves the house, though she settles down quickly. It’s been wonderful earning this shy sweetie’s gentle kisses and seeing her personality emerge. I can’t wait to see her fully relax and confidently explore the outside world and all that it has to offer.
