Meet Luigi Zippy - an 8 month old Chihuahua mix boy who weights 12 pounds (as of 3/13/25). Poor Luigi came to us after his owner passed away in Tennessee.

His foster shares "Luigi Zippy is a silly and playful boy who gets all with all other dogs and is very friendly with all humans. He is pretty quiet and calm most times.
He likes to do zoomies in the house, but he’s pretty happy to just hang out and get attention from his people. He does well on a leash and in his crate. And I would say he is mostly housebroken when kept on a good schedule. He is just a precious little boy! Someone is going to be lucky to get this friendly, happy little guy!"

UPDATE "Luigi Zippy is a lovely boy, he loves being next to you and gets along with everyone. He can be a little shy at the beginning, but warms up quickly if you give him all the love. He is very calm and is content just hanging out in the house. He does well on a leash and is the fastest walker I have ever seen. He is adjusting to the cold weather, but with a coat you can keep him warm. While he likes to be next to us, he is able to stay calm in the crate when we are not home. He is the sweetest boy and would be the perfect addition to any family".

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
