Meet Mabelline - a 6 month old, Lab mix, who weighs 39 pounds (as of 3/13/25). This little lady was found as a stray and we are guessing she was born around August. She's happy, healthy and looking for her forever family!

UPDATE from her foster mom: Leash training is going great. Potty training is going well, she's 95% there. She absolutely does not potty in her kennel. Being consistent and staying on a schedule will continue to help her learn. She sits for treats just like Trigger taught her. She’s an independent gal here, but will come up for some good lovins throughout the day though. She baths really well and we working on begging (we don’t share people food in this house but she has picked it up before us I guess)

Her foster shares: "Mabelline is a gentle and friendly little girl! She’s outgoing and playful. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night and is learning about potty training and doing great when she is kept on a consistent schedule. She just wants to get attention and love. She has play mode and cuddle mode - the best of both worlds. She is learning her leash manners and is always excited to go outside and explore. Mabelline gets along with other dogs and would love to have a doggy friend, but not a requirement! She also loves being around kids. She’s got a great personality for a puppy and is sure to adapt quickly into just about any loving family!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
