Meet Bolt
Meet Bolt! This handsome, sweet gentleman is looking for a family to call
his own.
Bolt is a polite loose-leash walker, loves being with his people, and, once
he gets to know you, is incredibly sweet and affectionate.
Bolt needs time to decompress and settle into a new home. He will thrive
with adopters who are willing to learn his signals and use positive
reinforcement to help him navigate new experiences. He can be shy when
meeting new people, so introductions should be thoughtful, allowing him to
ease into new situations. While he enjoys affection, he will do best with
adopters who practice petting consent and give him space when needed.
Bolt seems to like other dogs and could do well with a laid-back canine
companion. He would prefer not to visit dog parks or meet unknown dogs. He
might also do well with a dog-savvy cat who has experience living with
large dogs. Bolt could live with dog-savvy children who understand his body
language, with parental supervision to ensure positive interactions.
Once fully settled, Bolt can gradually expand his social circle through
careful and intentional introductions to new people, places, and
experiences. His adopters should be attentive to his comfort level to help
Bolt thrive.
