Meet Koko
Koko is a stunning, lanky girl with a playful, silly side just waiting to shine in the right home. Once she feels safe, she loves to zoom, stretch out in a sunny spot, and soak up gentle neck rubs and head scritches (complete with her signature goofy head tilt!).
Koko can be sensitive to new people, places, and dogs, so she’s looking for a patient, experienced adopter who will respect her need for space and let her build confidence at her own pace. She’ll do best in a calm, low-traffic home where she can decompress and feel secure, with someone who understands dog body language and is committed to positive, thoughtful training.
With time, trust, and understanding, Koko will reward her person with her fun-loving personality and loyal companionship.
Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Koko. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 11:30am-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
