When we first saw Gonzo at the Clearlake shelter, she was living in a small x-pen with a bunch of husky puppies. She was quiet and kept to herself. This was not the right environment for puppies to be growing up in. We rescued her and the huskies, only to find out they had parvovirus, a very serious intestinal infection. Gonzo was an absolute trooper through her treatment and is now a healthy and happy young dog. Also, even though she was housed with 7-week old puppies, she is actually about 7 months old! She refuses to tell us how she ended up there. Regardless, she’s the sweetest and most joyful puppy you’ll ever meet, and she can’t wait to have a family of her own. Gonzo is social with people and dogs alike. She missed out on her critical socialization period so would like help learning how to navigate the big world around her, but she’s very brave.
