Meet Teddy
Introducing Teddy! This beautiful lady lived primarily outdoors as a guardian livestock dog before coming into our care, so many parts of indoor life are still new to her. While we don’t know much about her past, we’ve learned a lot about her as we’ve gotten to know her, and we’ve observed her to be sensitive, sweet, and even a little bit silly once she feels comfortable!
Because she is so sensitive, we are looking for a special adopter for Teddy who can help introduce her to new things slowly, and who understands that Teddy may not want to be the life of every party. She gets quite overwhelmed when navigating busy areas with lots of stimuli, and has been learning how to navigate around other dogs neutrally, so she would prefer to live in a lower-traffic home and neighborhood. Teddy could potentially live with cats and children who can practice some shy dog skills, but would like to be the only dog in the home.
