Meet Emersyn - a 1 1/2-2 year old Black Mouth Cur/Bulldog mix gal from Tennessee. Emerson was found along with her three puppies, and also another stray on our website named Elodie (though they are not related).
Everyone needs a little Emersyn in their life! She has an adorable Cunky body with squat little legs...and every inch of her is full of wiggles, waggles, and copious kisses. This gal is PURE LOVE!!!
Emersyn's babies have all found loving homes, and now it is her turn. Emersyn was an amazing momma to her babies - and she even became a surrogate to other puppies that survived only because of her.
Emersyn has really come out of her shell since being rescued. She was a little shy at first, but now she loves to run up to people she knows and flop over for a belly rub. She can be a goofy girl and you can't help but smile when you are around.
She has some zoom energy but will relax quickly after she has gotten the play out. Then all she wants to do is curl into you for snuggles and love. Emersyn loves playing with other dogs - she really shines when she is playing with another dog. Cats are not great for her because she does want to chase them so we don't suggest that. But kids - bring them on! She is incredibly gentle with children and loves them all.
Emersyn is using a doggie door in rescue and has never had an accident - so we think with a tiny adjustment of her family learning her cues to go out it will be the same in her new home.
We know that whoever ends up with this little gal is going to have a lifetime of smiles, laughs and fun!!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
To adopt or learn more about Emersyn, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **
PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
