Hi there! My name is Bijoux and I'm a 2-year-old, spayed female, Terrier/Husky mix that currently weighs about 30lbs. I'm a high energy sweetheart that starts off on the timid side. Don't worry, I warm up quickly; especially with snacks! Since I'm still learning about the great big world and I can be easily overwhelmed sometimes, I would like to be the only dog in the household. I'm not a fan of dog parks either, but that's because I prefer to get love and playtime from people. I promise I'm the sweetest pup you've ever met! I spent some time in foster care! Here's how I did:
Bijoux was AMAZING! She honestly showed zero fearfulness or shyness ever since she got home, despite my building being a little noisy. No barking at any point! She settled in immediately and we went for a long walk in the evening where she had a blast sniffing everything. She did have some accidents but generally didn't make a peep all of last night, went to potty and pee outside on our long walk this morning, and has been incredible. She did try to chase some squirrels while on our walk, but moved on once they ran away. She was curious about other dogs, but didn't want to play either. Overall she is a very sweet dog and someone is going to be very lucky to adopt her!Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
