Meet Jewel

Jewel is a pretty girl who has had a rough go of it. Now she finds shelter life stressful and transitions difficult. Once she knows you, you are her forever best friend and she becomes sweet and cuddly. This dog will really lean in for pets. And she is a kisser! Jewel hopes you like to walk because she has beautiful leash walking manners that she would like to show off. Or, she will show you how she can entertain herself with a tennis ball or a fuzzy toy. Jewel is hoping for an adopter who will start off keeping her world small and predictable as she settles in. While Jewel would prefer not to live with another dog, she enjoyed living with children in her previous home. And she could possibly live with a cat, using a slow introduction. This good girl is looking for a loving home where she can finally become the wonderful dog we know she is. Do you think she is the dog for you?

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
