Meet the CINDY pups! These adorable puppies are 10 months old. We think they are Border Collie / Shepherd mixes. Gator Cindy weighed 55 lbs as of 8/27/25.
Update from his foster: Gator is a 10-month-old Border Collie/Shepherd mix who’s as sweet as he is handsome
This good boy is house trained, crate trained, and loves spending time with both dogs and humans.
While he hasn’t had much experience with young children yet, his gentle nature with smaller dogs and puppies suggests he’d do just fine with kids.
Gator is doing wonderfully on leash and continues to pick up his manners quickly — he’s still a puppy, learning as he goes, but he’s already pretty close to perfect!
He enjoys car rides, making him the ideal adventure buddy for errands, weekend outings, or exploring new trails. At the end of the day, Gator is just as happy to snuggle up and relax.
Gator Cindy and his siblings are your typical happy-go-lucky and lovable puppies! They are well socialized, and love playing with kids. They are always on the go and eager to explore. These guys will have no problem adapting to their forever families. They are ready for a lifetime of love!
Gator Cindy is a spirited young puppy with an unstoppable zest for life. His energy is infectious, always ready for a game of fetch or a fun play session. His goofy antics are sure to bring laughter to your home, turning even the gloomiest of days into a joyous occasion. Gator is incredibly friendly, making friends with everyone he meets. His playful nature makes him a great companion for other pets and children alike!

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
