Hi, I'm Millie Mighty the Chihuahua mix gal! I am one year old and 10.5 pounds at the time of this posting on 9/19/25.
Her foster shares:
Millie has been with us for 2 weeks now and I can confidently say she is the perfect little dog. She’s outgoing and affectionate. She’ll shower you with kisses and happily keep your lap warm.
She’s great with kids and super popular with all of the kids at after school pick up. With about a dozen hands reaching in to pet her and say hello, she happily soaks up all the attention.
She gets along great with our two resident dogs and has even started playing with our 40lb dog all the time. She was fine with cats when down south.
Car rides? She loves them too and is happy to just lay down and go along for the adventure wherever it’s taking her.
She’s a perfect angel in the house. She had a couple small accidents in her first 48 hours with us but since then she has been 100% house trained. She is crate trained, but because she is so well behaved inside (have yet to see her chew on anything, even dog toys), we haven’t felt the need to crate her after the first week and she’s been great free roaming with our dogs while we are out.
We usually come home to her just sitting on the window seat watching and eagerly awaiting our return. At the end of the day, she burrows herself completely under the covers in bed where she’ll stay all night and doesn’t wake until we do.
I seriously can’t say enough good things about her. I feel she could fit into almost any family easily and that family will win the doggy jackpot with her.
If you're looking for a loving friend to share your days with, I'm your girl! Let's make wonderful memories together.
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
