Emmett is a 44-pound mixed breed (maybe Bassett hound?) who has been a wonderful guest for his fosters. He has been described as easy-going, gentle, affectionate, and has a sweet disposition. He also enjoys massages, slow and peaceful walks, his bed, and rolling in the grass. (See video below.) This sweet little fellow gets along with cats, good with kids, not reactive to other dogs or loud noises and is not destructive. While he is not food or toy motivated, all he wants is to be close to you while he naps, get pets and belly rubs, or follow you around while you’re doing something (cooking, outdoor chores, etc.). While Emmett is good on leash to walk, he needs a family committed to continue to train basic commands and recall as well house-training as he has had a few accidents in his foster’s home but is improving. (We rescued Emmett with no info regarding his eye, but it seems well-healed with no issues for him.) Emmett would make a wonderful new family member for someone looking for a low energy dog with lots of personality who takes his time and is just happy to be here. Are you ready to give this sweet pup a forever home? Can you offer daily strolls, lots of grass rolls, and belly rubs? Please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch.
