Meet Skit, this senior sweetheart is ready to play the best role of her life: your loyal companion! While she can feel a little stage fright at first, give her a moment and she’ll step right into the spotlight with her gentle, loving nature. Skit gets along beautifully with other dogs and thrives on pets, cuddles, and all the attention she can gather. She may be in her golden years, but she still has plenty of charm to keep the show going. With Skit by your side, every day feels like the best kind of performance full of love, warmth, and a happy ending. Here’s some notes from her foster:Skit is a wonderful little dog with a gentle soul and a playful personality just waiting to blossom! She is currently very overwhelmed with life and needs time and patience to adjust to all of the things she’s never experienced before (her biggest stressors seem to be riding in cars and walking on leash, especially in busy environments). In the short time I’ve had her, Skit has already begun to bond with me and I have every confidence she’ll bond with her adopter quickly. She is very neutral to other animals – paid literally no mind to my 3 cats and my rabbit. With other dogs, she definitely seems to enjoy the comfort of their presence but hasn’t engaged in play yet. She showed some interest in toys that I think will expand once she is more settled into a home. And she LOVES snacks! A great appetite for her food, treats, chewies, and begged pretty instantly for table scraps. She prefers to sleep snuggled to some part of your body but was also content to rest on the couch or bed even if I was up and around the house. I didn’t leave her alone for an extended period of time, but didn’t notice any signs of specific separation distress. She has been a joy to foster. Easy, sweet girl that just needs patience and time!
