Meet Zara

Zara is a big, beautiful, older gal who is looking for her perfect retirement home. Dont let her age fool you, though. This girl is still really strong! And she has the best wiggly dance moves when she is happy. Zara is both house trained and crate trained. She loves going on long sniffy walks and saying hello to people. Meeting new people is one of those times she shows off her wiggly dance moves. This good girl is very treat motivated and loves to train. Here at the shelter she is working on walking politely on a leash, and she is getting pretty good at it. Zara might be able to live with another dog, although it might take some management. She could possibly live with a dog-savvy cat. And she has previously lived with children and has done well. Such a sweetie.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
