The HERO pups are ready to save the day!

Hamilton Hero is a 13 week old, American Foxhound mix, who weighs 21 pounds (as of 7/24/25). These pups were found as strays in Tennessee and ready to find their forever homes.

His foster shares: He is such a sweet boy! Got along flawlessly with my resident lab (who can be a handful) and the kids.

A perfect gentleman, sharing all the toys and space with no issues whatsoever. He doesn’t feel protective about his space or food, which is a lovely sign!

He doesn’t like to be in the crate when he knows people are around but he does settle in soon and takes naps like a pro! He also sleeps through the night in his crate.

Hamilton Hero and his siblings are sweet & petite puppies! They have very sweet and loving personalities. They are well socialized and love being around people. Their foster parents are giving them lots of TLC (tender loving care) and teaching them what it means to be loved. Hamilton is a super sweet & gentle puppy who is easy going and gets along with everyone. He has a gentle soul and is sure to make a great companion for a family with children. He would also make a great hiking buddy as he loves. to explore! He's a sweet and happy boy who is looking for his forever family!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
