ZIP-a-dee-doo-dah!
Meet Zoe Zipper - a 7 month old, Hound mix, who weighs 20 pounds (as of 7/2/25). We found this girl as a stray in Mississippi. We found her lost in the woods and she was covered in ticks. She has been cleaned up and is happy, healthy and and ready to find her forever family!
Her foster shares: "Zoe Zipper is very sweet and friendly! She absolutely loves people and does great with other dogs, too. She is a velcro dog who likes to be near her people at all times. She would do best with a family who is home a lot. While we haven't seen her with kids, she is such a sweetheart so there should be no problem. She will need a family who can give her a fresher on her training and house manners. She's an active girl who loves to explore and can't wait to find her forever family. This girl is ready to zip through life by your side!"
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
