If you thought nothing could beat his gorgeous tuxedo coat, just wait until you meet all the beauty he holds inside!Ryder is a gentleman through and through. Not only is he always dressed to impress, but he carries a kind energy with him whenever he goes! He enjoys attention and pets and will repay you with the most soulful, loving glances you can imagine!Ryder is about nine years young and has a wonderful pep in his step. He is actually quite playful! Ryder can’t wait to fill your days with fun, snuggles, and those beautiful, perfect Pittie glances!Ryder has lived well with both cats & dogs :) You can see more about him on his foster’s IG: https://www.instagram.com/seniormutts/Here’s some notes from his foster:Ryder is affectionate, happy, and ready to go! He’s a vibrant guy with all the sweetness and energy of a much younger dog.Ryder came to Muttville after being surrendered by his guardian. He’s had a tough life, but that has not kept him from enjoying every moment. He shows his desire to be loved by pushing every ounce of his body on you. His #1 goal is you, toys, walk, in that order.Ryder loves all people and dogs, big and small. He handles himself well, excited to meet other dogs (he tries to be quite playful right off the bat—that might not be welcomed by some.)He loves his meals! I stick to a routine of breakfast at 8 am and dinner at 6 pm (which doesn’t have to be continued by his adopters). This is just my way of letting him know he will never have to skip a meal again. He has shown no signs of guarding or aggression. Just the silliest, sweetest boy!He does well at home alone-just lies by the door or couch until you return.Ryder can walk for miles, and his mobility is excellent—he has the stamina and playfulness of a much younger dog. We take one big walk a day through the hills of SF and then a few mini walks for potty. He would do well with someone who enjoys walking and is looking for an adventure companion. He can jump up on the bed and the couch without any issue, and he can do stairs. He LOVES toys. He found the dog toy box, removed the lid with his nose (not destructively, just easy to lift off and he figured it out), and has found joy in picking a toy, running around the house with it, and then going back to pull out more. He will entertain himself with this for hours. He loves balls and can fetch. He appears to be extremely intelligent and would make a great companion for someone who wants to train a dog to learn tricks or even agility. He knows basic commands, such as sit. Some FYIs:I’ve only heard him bark once at the vacuum (his enemy). He’s house-trained and will let you know he’d like to go out. He’s been around older kids and has done great with them.He will chase flying insects—and has caught a few!He is unsure of passing cars and will jump away if they get too close.Ryder will thrive in a variety of homes with one or more people. His ideal place is somewhere he can take many walks, go on adventures, and have plenty of toys.
