Meet America Liberty - one of the either adorable Tennessee Hound/Lab mix pups in the LIBERTY litter. They were born on 4/4... they are 15 weeks old, America Liberty weighs 21 lbs as of 7/24
Her foster shares: She is a goofy dog once she gets to know you but is shy at first with new people or new things. She is very submissive and very gentle with people, other dogs and has been fine when exposed to a cat.
America Liberty has meet a young child and was very gentle with him. She warmed up very quickly to him.
She's not a fan of cars so she does not enjoy walking on busy roads and definitely prefers being outside somewhere quiet. She loves to play fetch or tug of war. She is not a barker. She is doing great with crate training and sleeps through the night without accidents in it. Potty training is going well if you keep her on a schedule but has had some accidents when not taken out regularly. Once she gets to know someone, she becomes a Velcro dog and does not leave your side especially outside.
She is very funny once she is comfortable with you and will keep you laughing with her antics.
The Liberty litter were an owner surrendered litter in Tennessee. They are all incredibly cute and very social. They have been with other dogs in rescue and enjoy their company. They haven't been around kids here yet - but of course with pups this young we don't expect their to be an problem with them loving absolutely everyone in your home. They are young pups who will need owners ready for love, consistency and training...just like any other pup needs.
Get ready to life, love and liberty!!

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
