Meet Leela
Leela is a busy, fun girl with a lot of energy. This good girl is crate trained, house trained and enjoys meeting new people. What a smart girl. Leela is always on the move so she would do well with an active family. She will need lots of physical and mental stimulation to help her settle. And she likes settling with her family. Be prepared to share your couch spot because Leela likes to snuggle. And give kisses. Leela is looking for a patient adopter who will help her make good choices and act politely. She is currently working hard on these skills here at the shelter. She hopes her new family will continue with this training. Leela could possibly live with older children who can help with training. Since Leela likes to chase wildlife and is known to bark at cats, it might be just too much for her to live with a cat, and can be pretty rowdy with dogs so settling in home with dog would likely be hard to start.It may take some work, but Leela is a wonderful pet in the making. And she is looking for a family of her own.

Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
