The SHELL litter may be small now, but their love is SHORE big!

Sandpiper Shell and her siblings are 16 week old, Australian Shepherd / Shepherd mix pups, who weigh approx. 15-20 pounds (as of 7/17/25). These babies were found as strays in Tennessee and they are ready to find their forever families!

Egret, Sandpiper and Stilts Shell are beautiful Australian Shepherd / Shepherd mixes. These pups were found as strays and have blossomed into outgoing, silly and loving pups in foster care. They are fun loving, outgoing, playful and sweet pups who absolutely ADORE attention! They break into the cutest puppy smile when they see you, then will cover you with kisses and lean into you for snuggles. Their silly antics are sure to brighten even the worst of days. The SHELL pups love to follow their people everywhere they go. They are also wonderful with children and will be a great addition to a loving family. They get along great with other dogs, love exploring the outdoors, enjoy playing with doggie toys or and curling up for a snooze after a long day. These pups are sure to bring joy, love, happiness and sweet puppy breath into your home!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
