This boy is ready to POP into your heart!
Meet Ben Bubble - a 1 year old, Beagle / Dachshund mix, who weighs 30 pounds (as of 7/2/25). This sweet boy was found as a stray with other pups along a rural mountain road in Tennessee. Once being rescued, Ben Bubble was the first one to approach the humans and was so gentle in eating from their hands despite how hungry he must have been!
His foster shares: "Ben is slowly showing us his personality! He’ll hop and skip on a walk like he wants to zoom ahead, and the first time he got to play with a squeak toy was absolutely precious. He is learning the joy of human companions and we are appreciating what a cool, cool guy he is. After a romp with his new toys, he just wants to sit beside you and watch the butterflies. He’s never seen a couch before, but we bet he would so love movie time with a family all his own! Given his history, we're sure he will need a patient family who can show him what it means to live indoors and also show him what it means to be loved!"
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
