Meet Smokey Blue - a 12 week old, Husky / American Bulldog mix, who weighs 15 pounds (as of 2/25/25). This guy is sure to turn heads with his adorable ears and special blue eye! He's a happy, healthy and playful pup who is looking for a person (or family) to love!
His foster shares: "Smokey Blue is a gentle, lovely, little guy. He is bashful at first but then opens up and is super social and happy 24/7! He loves all people, and since he's still young, we know he'd be great with kids and cats (with proper introductions). He is absolutely precious. He would love to join an active family who he can go for hikes with and explore the world around him. Smokey Blue is food motivated which should help with his training. He'll need a family committed to his training, since he's still a young pup (and lots of toys as distractions). He loves toys and bones and we are working with him on crate training and house manners . We know he’s gonna make a great addition to your home!"
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
